Let the whole army benefit from the best aura
Put the dragon whose aura helps everyone the most at the Center (usually a Champion, their aura is the strongest): the Center spreads its aura to the whole army.

Play a single troop type, the most leveled one
Pick the type you've upgraded the most (pikemen, archers…), and put dragons on it that are GREEN affinity for this type (in green they gain a bonus, in red they're penalized).
