Your best armies

We don't score your dragons: we play the fights — every possible army is simulated round by round, with your levels, stars, habits, upgrades and heirlooms. Each dragon is used only once. Simulation calibrated on hundreds of real combat reports.

How the AI builds your armies

Buffer Companion's army optimizer is an AI: it takes YOUR dragons — levels, stars, habits, heirlooms, upgrades — and builds your 5 best Game of Thrones: Dragonfire armies, with each dragon's position and the troop to field.

Tens of thousands of line-ups tried for you

The AI tries every possible combination of your dragons, in all 6 placements and with all 4 troops, against the beast of your level. The best ones are replayed against 36 real player armies, then assembled into lists of five armies, with no dragon used twice.

Judged on real power, not on rarity

Every formation is judged on a real fight: the troops it destroys and the troops it keeps, against real player armies and against the beast of your level. Everything counts: your stars, the habits you've raised, your relics, your upgrades, troop affinities, and what each dragon brings to the others.

The best 5, with each dragon's role

You get the five line-ups that come out on top with what you own today, assembled in three ways: Twin Blaze, Cascade, and The Arbiter, which keeps the best of both. For each army: the role of every dragon, who stays on the bench and why, and what to upgrade first.

Frequently asked questions

What is the army optimizer?

An AI that builds your 5 best armies from the dragons you actually own: who goes together, where (left flank, centre, right flank) and with which troop. Not a generic list: the result depends on your account.

How does the AI pick the armies?

It tries every possible trio from your roster, in all 6 placements and with all 4 troops, and the engine plays the battles round by round with the game's rules: commands, habits, vanguard, affinities, the troop triangle. Each army is judged on one fight: the troops it destroys and the troops it keeps, against the beast of your level and against 36 real player armies. Three models then assemble your five armies: Twin Blaze, Cascade and The Arbiter.

Is it reliable?

The engine is checked against 537 real battles (beasts, player duels, tiles). It takes your whole account into account: levels, stars, habits, heirlooms and upgrades.

How long does a line-up take?

Allow 15 to 30 minutes per model, depending on how many dragons you own and the load: the AI plays hundreds of thousands of battles. You can close the page — the calculation keeps going and your result waits for you.

Is it free?

Creating an account, entering your dragons and getting your own armies rated is free. One full composition is offered per account; after that, the composer is part of the Season Pass.
