How do I get and use Relic Shards?

Relic Shards come mostly from your surplus Relics: once a dragon has enough Relics, the excess converts into shards.

What they're for: at the Market, shards let you buy in a targeted way:

• a specific dragon's Relics (e.g. Syrax x2 = 4,500 shards, Shimmer x225 = 37,500),
• Cores (Rare / Epic / Legendary),
• Hatchery keys.

It's the ultimate anti-bad-luck mechanism: if chests never give you the dragon you want, you pile up shards and buy its missing Relics directly. Rather than spending at random, set your shards aside to finish hatching a key dragon or to buy a hard-to-find Legendary Core.
