Habits

The dragon's 5 passives — fill in their level.

1. Enervate
2. Dragon's Intellect
3. Bloodscale Fury
4. Unlikely Hero
5. Vermin's Bane

Vanguard ability

Hunter's Cunning

Increases the Recovery you receive by 20% and your Intelligence by +25. The ally on the right flank deals +10% physical damage.

Only switches on at level 16 and while the dragon holds the Center — the game calls that seat the Vanguard. It comes with the dragon: no Breedmark, no Core to spend.

In battle

The best formations with Crimson

Crimson never fights alone. A fight is three dragons: one at the Center spreading its aura to the whole army, two on the flanks, and a single troop type. The same dragon can wipe the field or get crushed depending on who stands next to it.

Measured by the AI

Tier A · #13 of 37 dragons

Its best measured formation, with Cavalry:

  1. Left flankCrimson
  2. CenterCaraxes
  3. Right flankKalspire

The AI played 7,770 trios, every dragon at level 40, 6★ and 3 habits upgraded: the engine plays the battles, it doesn't guess. With your own stars the best formation changes — that's what the army optimizer works out.

  • Crimson is green on Pikemen · Archers · Siege. Dragons sharing that affinity: 27. Which ones do you own?
  • Hunter: at the Center it spreads its aura, on a flank it benefits from someone else's. Not the same dragon.
