Vanguard ability

Warrior's Zeal

Increases your physical damage (commands and habits) by 16%. The ally on the left flank gains +20 Instinct and Initiative.

Only switches on at level 16 and while the dragon holds the Center — the game calls that seat the Vanguard. It comes with the dragon: no Breedmark, no Core to spend.

In battle

The best formations with Moondancer

Moondancer never fights alone. A fight is three dragons: one at the Center spreading its aura to the whole army, two on the flanks, and a single troop type. The same dragon can wipe the field or get crushed depending on who stands next to it.

Measured by the AI

Tier S · #6 of 37 dragons

Its best measured formation, with Shields:

  1. Left flankKalspire
  2. CenterMoondancer
  3. Right flankMalachite

The AI played 7,770 trios, every dragon at level 40, 6★ and 3 habits upgraded: the engine plays the battles, it doesn't guess. With your own stars the best formation changes — that's what the army optimizer works out.

  • Moondancer is green on Shields · Archers. Dragons sharing that affinity: 24. Which ones do you own?
  • Warrior: at the Center it spreads its aura, on a flank it benefits from someone else's. Not the same dragon.
