How to avoid wasting Gold Cores in Dragonfire?

Gold rarity items (🟡) are used to raise the Habits of Legendary dragons — and it's the rarest resource in the game, so the easiest one to waste.

Habits cost 2 ingredients: a Breedmark (tied to the breed: Champion/Warrior/Hunter/Sentinel) + a color-coded rarity item (🔵 Blue=Rare, 🟣 Purple=Epic, 🟡 Gold=Legendary). Since Gold is the rarest, Legendaries take the longest to raise.

The trap: spreading your Gold over all your Legendaries a little at a time. The result is that none of them is really raised.

The right discipline: focus your Gold on 4-5 key Legendaries (Syrax, Crimson, Seasmoke, Kalspire, Caraxes, Malachite…), starting with their ⭐ "set" Habits that strengthen the Command. A "complete" Legendary (Command + 5 Habits raised) is worth far more than its raw Power. Where the items come from = the chests: farming Dragonbone/Dragonglass/Dragonfire keys feeds this progression.
