What are Hedge Knights in Dragonfire?

Hedge Knights are mobile PvE targets on the map. Beating them is the only source of a very important permanent currency: Runic Fragments.

Why that's valuable:

• Runic Fragments level up your Heirlooms (the permanent Dragon Growth / Realm Expansion trees), which give your dragons and your realm lasting boosts.
• Since Heirlooms are permanent (they don't reset between Reigns), every Hedge Knight killed is capital that stays.
• Bonus: high-level knights also hand out solid combat XP for your dragons.

So get in the habit of hunting Hedge Knights whenever they appear near you. They're one of the rare farms that advance you beyond the current Reign.
