Does the defender heal between attacks in Game of Thrones: Dragonfire?

No. The defender does not heal — not between the rounds of a fight, and not between two waves of attack. Its losses are permanent. That's the mechanic that makes attrition so powerful.

What it means for you:

• Every hit you land stays on the books. If one wave leaves it at 8,000 troops, the next one attacks a defender at 8,000, not at 14,250.
• So you can take a point that's too big for one army by hitting it in successive waves.
• An ally who softens it first does half the work: you arrive on an already weakened target and finish it fast.

Don't confuse this with your own side: your armies can carry Recovery — +45 troops per dragon per round from Rhysarion, or Sentinel heals — during a fight. But that's your army mid-battle; the tile defender gets no such reset between your attacks.
