What is Relic Shards for in Dragonfire?

Relic Shards is the currency that stops relics going to waste. You get it whenever you pull relics for a dragon already at maximum Star Rank: instead of being lost, they convert into dust.

You then spend that dust at the Market on:

• targeted relics (for the dragon you actually want to raise)
• Cores (rare / epic / legendary, for Habits)
• keys (Dragonbone, for instance)

So it's a safety net: your surplus relics become a way to steer your progress where you want it. The Market lists a price per dragon, so you can aim your dust at one specific project.
