What are Stronghold tiers for in Dragonfire?

Your Stronghold is the heart of your account: its Tier unlocks everything else — new buildings, higher research levels, army slots, troop capacity.

Going up a tier means building/upgrading the prerequisite buildings and then paying for the Stronghold upgrade itself (wood + stone, and a lot of time).

⚠️ Crucial point: Stronghold levels and all research RESET every Reign (the 8-week cycle). You re-grind everything each season. So there's no point mourning the loss — that's the game's normal rhythm.
