Habits: unlocking them and knowing what to level

Five Habits, one every two star ranks

A freshly obtained dragon (1 star) already has its Command, its main ability, and its Vanguard ability. Habits come next, one every two star ranks.

• 2 stars: Habit 1
• 4 stars: Habit 2
• 6 stars: Habit 3
• 8 stars: Habit 4
• 10 stars: Habit 5

Levelling a Habit from 1 to 5

An unlocked Habit starts at level 1. You then raise it up to level 5 with Breedmarks, specific to the dragon's breed, and Cores, specific to its rarity. These mostly come from chests.

The same Habit can exist on several dragons: its base value grows with rarity.

Which ones to level first

• Those of the dragons you actually play, in your main armies.
• Habits that strengthen the dragon's Command: their description starts with the Command's name. They are often among the strongest.
• The fifth Habit, often the dragon's most powerful.
• Effects that help the whole army (lowering enemy defense, healing, control) before a small personal bonus.

Levelling the Habits of a dragon that sits on the bench is useless. Decide who plays first, then invest.

The Vanguard is not a Habit

The Vanguard ability is not a Habit: it can't be levelled and doesn't count among the five. It switches on by itself, in the Center, from level 16.
