Stars and Relics: what they really give
Stars are the most lasting investment in the game: they stay from one season to the next, while levels go back to zero.

What a star gives
- More stats across the board: about +20% of the dragon's base stats per star.
- More troops, in steps.
- The Habits: a new one at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 stars.
Unlike levels, stars don't reset with the new season. Stars, Habits and Heirlooms stay.
How many Relics per rank
Each star costs the dragon's Relics, and the cost climbs fast. For an epic dragon:
- 1 star (hatching): 15 Relics
- 2 stars: 40 · 3 stars: 100 · 4 stars: 180
- 5 stars: 300 · 6 stars: 500 · 7 stars: 800
- 8 stars: 1,250 · 9 stars: 2,000 · 10 stars: 3,000
Where to spend your Relics
Because the cost explodes at the top end, it's better to focus stars on a few dragons that play in your best armies than to spread them across the whole roster.
Even ranks (2, 4, 6, 8, 10) have extra value: they unlock a Habit. Aiming for the next even rank is often the best call.
And at max stars?
Relics received for a dragon already at max stars aren't lost: they turn into dust, which can be exchanged for other Relics.
Let the AI do the maths
The composer plays the battles with your real dragons (levels, stars, Habits, Heirlooms) and gives you your 5 best armies, placement and troop included.
Compose my armiesFrequently asked questions
Do stars reset with the new season?
No. Stars, Habits and Heirlooms stay. Levels, upgrades and House Level are what reset.
How many Relics for 10 stars?
For an epic dragon, the 10th rank alone costs 3,000 Relics; the cost rises at every rank.
Should I star up all my dragons?
No. The cost rises too fast: focus on the dragons that play in your best armies.
